LEVEL. NARRATIVE. DESIGN
At palindrome, I worked as a narrative designer writing narrative content and conceptualizing systems that enforced worldbuilding and the narrative, while also working with implementing and balancing gameplay and level design.
I worked mostly alone writing, creating narrative systems, and creating documentation. Going to my design lead for feedback, creative input, and polish before we added the material to the engine. I always strived to create content that felt 'real' within the universe and gameplay we were creating and often collaborated with other people to get better ideas.
I also worked with many of the other designers taking part in meetings where we talked and created systems, mechanics, and research goals, and playtesting.
I often had meetings with art concerning the direction of the narrative in correlation with art and how things worked in the world, I was a lone narrative designer except for my lead who often joined these meetings to fill gaps.
From the wonderful people at Palindrome, I got a letter of recommendation for whoever is interested. I loved the time I spent at Palindrome and I wish everyone at Palindrome the best! <3
